Mary Daniel who is Popularly known as the Oshodi amputee hawker, claimed she lost her leg in a ghastly motor accident that killed all the passengers, including her parent when she was a teenager, have been discovered to be lies.
Soweto Media Gist gathered that the oshodi amputee hawker who became a sensation week ago after her pictures emerged on social media.
Daniel recently in an interview, said she was a poor orphan with a baby and an aged grandmother.
She lamented how she drop out of school of school and hit the streets to end a living through her sales of pure water which according to her was the only means of her livelihood.
Everything was going well for her until the Lagos State government who earlier promised a donation of cash and also taking care of her shelter, discovered that all what she was saying was false and her father was alive.
It was also detected she was amputated from birth.
Soweto Media Gist also gathered that she was receiving strange calls from those who also wanted thier own share of the money with threat to reveal the truth of her story if she does not give them.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has immediately handed her over to officials of the social welfare for investigation following revelations her case was staged.
